WHAT IS THE PERIOD OF COVERAGE
The general JET warranty lasts for the time period specified in the product literature of each product.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Five Year Warranties do not cover woodworking (WW) products used for commercial, industrial or educational purposes. Woodworking products with Five Year Warranties that are used for commercial, industrial or education purposes revert to a One Year Warranty. This warranty does not cover defects due directly or indirectly to misuse, abuse, negligence or accidents, normal wear-and-tear, improper repair or alterations, or lack of maintenance.
HOW TO GET SERVICE
The product or part must be returned for examination, postage prepaid, to a location designated by us. For the name of the location nearest you, please call 1-800-274-6848.
You must provide proof of initial purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. If our inspection discloses a defect, we will repair or replace the product, or refund the purchase price, at our option. We will return the repaired product or replacement at our expense unless it is determined by us that there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty in which case we will, at your direction, dispose of or return the product. In the event you choose to have the product returned, you will be responsible for the handling and shipping costs of the return.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

had the JSSG-10 for 30 months. It has served the pourpose and keeps my tools sharp. As I use it often i wanted to replace the wheel and coud not remove it due to corrosion. Stainless steel on shaft, nut and washer would be nice. I can't recommended unless the materials are changed.
The accessories work fine once you get familiar with them.

Like everything else in life, this machine takes practice before you can properly sharpen tools. Make sure to periodically check the stone and true up as necessary with the Truing Tool. Once you make sure the stone is true and you understand the correct way to sharpen each tool (The instructional DVD that comes with JSSG–10 is very helpful)you'll obtain consistent results each time. I was a little disappointed with the additioanl costs for the jigs but, once purchased, you're all set. I don't imagine I'll need another sharpener in my lifetime.

I was amazed how easy it was to get a razors edge on everything I tried. The DVD was great. It got me sharpening with great results on the very first try. Yes, there is water everywhere. I was disapointed the nut and washer rusted out that holds on the stone. I did replace with stainless. Despite this, working with a sharp edge every day has greatly improved my results and cut my time on each project

I have owned this machine 13 months. I use this machine often and still like the basic overall function, sharpening tools.
The accessories from Jet are cast low quality pot metal and really require a lot of tweaking for accuracy. It would be wonderful if they would make a jig for sharpening 12-13" planer blade.
The really negative design is in the attaching shaft, washers and nut holding the grinding stone on. Corrosion! The nut and washer corrode to the shaft due to the wet stone. I just had to soak mine in penetrating oil to remove it. If you do not remove the stone after every use to dry you will be just as disappointed as I am with the damage.
After you get it home take the shaft nut and washer to the hardware store, match it up and replace it with stainless fasteners.

As the demo DVD states, "All new grinding stones are out of round, you must first true, or dress your stone with the Diamond Truing Tool accessary." It's not in the box!
But it was back at the store, a 65 mile round trip.
Once trued and with a little practice this is a very nice addition to any shop wanting razor sharp tools in short order. Because it grinds and reshapes tools so fast and quietly I recommend that you practice on old tools first that you might have given up on.
The water management system falls a bit short of great. The water tray is tricky to snap into place. I found it best to practice taking it on and off without the stone. The locking tabs on the water tray takes practice to insert and best done without water in the tray. Expect a big puddle and to throw water on your tool, in the storage trays and on the work surface it's placed on. Plug into a GFS outlet just to be safe. This improves and most water stays as it should as you work thru your learning curve on tool positioning, adjusting speed and water tray volume.

I found the JSSG–10 to fit all my needs from scissor sharpening to gouge sharpening. It does the job for me, when I sharpen my tools I know my angles are true and consistent. Best of all I have a sharp tool every time. The instructional DVD that comes with JSSG–10 is very helpful with good tips. The only cons to JSSG–10 is the cost and the extra cost for the jigs that you may need, the way I look at it is I will never need another sharpener and I will not keep spending money thru the years chasing a sharpener that will do the job. The look is over for me, I have what I need
