WHO IS COVERED
This warranty covers only the initial purchaser of the product.
WHAT IS THE PERIOD OF COVERAGE
The general JET warranty lasts for the time period specified in the product literature of each product.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Five Year Warranties do not cover woodworking (WW) products used for commercial, industrial or educational purposes. Woodworking products with Five Year Warranties that are used for commercial, industrial or education purposes revert to a One Year Warranty. This warranty does not cover defects due directly or indirectly to misuse, abuse, negligence or accidents, normal wear-and-tear, improper repair or alterations, or lack of maintenance.
HOW TO GET SERVICE
The product or part must be returned for examination, postage prepaid, to a location designated by us. For the name of the location nearest you, please call 1-800-274-6848.
You must provide proof of initial purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. If our inspection discloses a defect, we will repair or replace the product, or refund the purchase price, at our option. We will return the repaired product or replacement at our expense unless it is determined by us that there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty in which case we will, at your direction, dispose of or return the product. In the event you choose to have the product returned, you will be responsible for the handling and shipping costs of the return.

I purchased this about a year ago. So far I can't complain about it. When I went to see this saw at a local retailer the salesman showed me a Powermatic of about the same size saying it was so quiet. I then had him plug in this one which was right across the aisle from the Powermatic. He told me it would be noisy compared to the Powermatic. Turned it on and you can't even tell its running. That sold me on it. I've resawed some wood with a larger blade I bought for it and it cut like a hot knife through butter. If you want a band saw with large resaw capabilities this is it.

This is a ready good saw for someone that uses a variety of different types and sizes of wood. Since I got my saw I have been cutting everything from 3/4" to 9" thick, mainly black walnut. The saw has plenty of power for any project I have. I would recommend adding some weight to the base stand since it is somewhat top heavy. Also, I would have liked to have the rip fence and miter gauge included.

Overall, this is a great saw! I would recommend it to anyone as a first bandsaw as it is fairly easy to setup. It is heavy! Two people are almost a must when lifting the saw onto the base. I ordered my saw over the phone based off the picture above and was promised that the fence came with the saw as pictured. When I received the saw without the fence, I was very disappointed. After three unreturned phone calls to the sales rep, I asked to to speak to another sales rep. Upon explaining my situation, I was told that the original sales rep made a mistake and that I would have to purchase the fence as it was not included. Since the fence is an integral part of the saw, I made the purchase (it is not cheap) but was not very happy with the customer service at JET as I was truly misled. With that said, the saw itself is a great piece of equipment and I would highly recommend it. Since I use the saw in my garage and it has been used for a lot of different applications. I installed a set of locking casters on the base which makes it extremely easy to move around when needed.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This saw is a dream to work with. I would have given it five stars except for one thing. The blade adjustment knob is very poorly placed, is hard to grip, and is a knuckle buster. I put on a 5/8" blade for resawing, and was barely able to tension it properly. It makes me wonder if I could even properly tension a 3/4" blade. But, the 3/8" blade I use tensions easily. There is plenty of power for resawing 10" walnut, and there are no vibrations. The one piece frame is rock solid. Much more accurate than any riser block configuration I have seen.

It's a big improvement from the 1/3 hp 10" bandsaw I had been using. So far, I've been using the Jet DXPRO to resaw walnut and with a good resaw blade the Jet really has plenty of power to do the job. It's been a joy to use. Set up and adjustments were simple, although you will want some help to get the saw onto cabinet. The only thing I didn't like about the saw was the configuration of the blade tension knob. The knob is too small/smooth to get a good grip on and it's too close to the upper blade enclosure.

I've only had this saw for a short time, but I can offer some initial impressions. First off, you will absolutely need two people to set it up. It's heavy. My first thoughts are that most of the construction of the saw is excellent; very sturdy, good design choices, quality materials. The few things I noticed are the wheel doors feel flimsy and the tension adjust knob is poorly placed (these two things are very minor and don't have too great an impact on the overall quality). The table is excellent (perfectly flat and a good dry lubricant seems to be applied). The blade that comes with the saw is superb and once set up properly, cuts thick hardwood easily. I love all the adjustments to the blade, you can really dial in your preferences. It's easy to adjust the blade height and I much prefer the bearings it has to the traditional blade guide blocks. Overall an excellent saw.

THE TENSION RELEASE WORKS FINE, JUST USE A LITTLE COMMON SENSE WHEN GRIPPING IT. A LITTLE TOP HEAVY DUE TO THE HEIGHT, BUT A LARGER BASE WITH 80 POUNDS IN THE BOTTOM CABINET SOLVED THOSE ISSUES. IT RUNS SO SMOOTH YOU BARELY KNOW IT'S ON. A GREAT SAW FOR THE MONEY.
