Freight Orders

Freight deliveries require a delivery time be scheduled and someone must be present at the time of delivery to inspect and sign for the merchandise. A representative from the freight carrier will call the phone number entered at checkout to schedule the delivery.

Liftgate Service

For freight deliveries, you have the option of adding a liftgate to your delivery. A liftgate is the device that lowers a product from the truck to ground level.

CPO recommends adding liftgate service for freight deliveries exceeding 100 lbs if you do not have a loading dock or fork lift at the delivery address. Additional charges may apply. The liftgate option will be presented during the checkout process.

Please note that liftgate service only ensures the product is removed from the truck. We recommend you have the additional help of two to four people to move the product to its desired location because drivers are not required to assist.

Requesting liftgate service after ordering may result in additional charges and delays.

New Band Saw
Nice saw. With the riser block built in, the inaccuracy is taken out. Makes for a stronger saw support as well.

Would liked to have the motor in the enclosed stand, and to have the belts beside the lower wheel makes me wonder about getting material in the belt grooves. The pinion drive to elevate and lower the upper blade guides is a good idea. The locking mechanism is also easy to use and a good idea. The roller guides make using the saw easier and more accurate and help to keep the blade cool and longer wearing.

The blade tension mechanism is the worst part of the saw. The knob on the top is horribly hard and awkward to tighten or loosen. The tension lever is much to short and is a knuckle buster if you aren't careful. Looks like it was designed by a first year design student or a drunk engineer who hates woodworkers. The turn knob could be much larger and easier to turn. Also, the tension lever needs to be longer and easier to position. This is absolutely the worst part of the saw and the worst design I have ever seen.

The lower blade rollers are tough to adjust but that is to be expected with the small amount of space that they are given.

After just three weeks of use resawing some material, I have noticed that the lower thrust bearing is developing a groove where it contacts the blade. I will see how good the 5 year warranty is very soon.

When I ordered the saw it was supposed to include a rip fence. When I called Jet, I was immediately sent a rip fence. Bravo for their fast response!

Solid Machine, Quality Shows in Places
I've only had this saw for a short time, but I can offer some initial impressions. First off, you will absolutely need two people to set it up. It's heavy. My first thoughts are that most of the construction of the saw is excellent; very sturdy, good design choices, quality materials. The few things I noticed are the wheel doors feel flimsy and the tension adjust knob is poorly placed (these two things are very minor and don't have too great an impact on the overall quality). The table is excellent (perfectly flat and a good dry lubricant seems to be applied). The blade that comes with the saw is superb and once set up properly, cuts thick hardwood easily. I love all the adjustments to the blade, you can really dial in your preferences. It's easy to adjust the blade height and I much prefer the bearings it has to the traditional blade guide blocks. Overall an excellent saw.

JWBS-14DXPRO, 14 in. Deluxe Pro Bandsaw
She runs smooth, and quite. No vibrations, worth every dollar that I paid for her. Assy was easy, Took less than an hour by myself. (use a 4:1 block & tackle and a "A" frame ladder to place the saw on the stand).
Had a small shipping problem, but a call to cpo fixed that right up. I am happy with the way and quickness the problem was solved.

Real quality saw
This saw is heavy and stable. The motor is both strong and smooth running. What a great saw for the money. I'm really impressed with Jet products.

Worth it if its on sale
First, I bought the saw and resaw fence on a 15% off sale which made it worth the price. Its a powerful full-featured saw that is compact in size. It runs smooth and true with very little vibration and is quiet. The table if flat and true. The saw cuts well, but I haven't really done much serious resawing so I can't comment much on that aspect of its performance. Based on previous experience with other saws, its seems like it has the right build to do a good job at resawing with the right blade set-up. The quality, fit and fare of the guards and castings are just okay--fully functional but not as nice looking as they could be. Set up was relatively simple except lifting the saw onto the base is impossible for one person due to its weight. It is heavy even for two (unless at least one of you is a body builder) because it is awkward for the second person to find a place on the saw structure to make the lift. Be careful not to lift it on a non-structural part that might be damaged during the lift. Set up was fairly easy except on mine, the upper blade guard/guide bearing assembly was not plumb to the blade through the full range of cut height. When the back bearing was adjusted perfectly to the blade at the maximum height of cut, as the assembly was lowered the back bearing would translate away from the blade so at a cut height of about two inches above the table, there was a good 1/8th of an inch of additional gap to the back from the blade. Readjusting this took a lot of trial and error with micro adjustments of set screws that are not precise. Eventually, I got it close to perfect, but it took a lot of screwing around with the set screws (pun intended). The blade tension knob is a bit hard to turn--it takes a lot of torque so the knob should either be a larger diameter or the screw threads should be acme to make it easier to turn. I bought the Jet resaw fence for it too which was fairly pricey for what I would consider average quality, but it seems to work fine. The blade that comes with it is poor quality so I would suggest replacing it immediately. At this price point, it seems like it should have come with a miter gauge, but it doesn't. I already own a Jet miter gauge that came with a disk sander I purchased a while back and it is compatible with the saw, so its not a problem for me. I would not buy the Jet miter gauge separately--it is way too expensive for a very rudimentary gauge. I would recommend spending a little more on a quality miter gauge (e.g. Incra). Shipping was free and well coordinated--Old Dominion brought it on a truck with a lift gate and pallet jack and wheeled the well-packaged unit on a pallet up my driveway and into my garage. This was very convenient.

A few weeks later I saw the higher quality Laguna saw at another retailer with more features on sale--for not that much more money it is definitely a better saw (better fit and fare and more precision in the adjustments). I had slight regrets; however, I would have had to spend a little more money and shipping wasn't free either (I could have picked it up with my pickup but its an even heavier monster to handle). Its also a much larger footprint and would have taken up more floor space in my shop.

Overall, I am satisfied with the Jet saw. It works well at a reasonable price (if you catch a sale). I feel good about the purchase after using it some.

Great Band Saw
I purchased this about a year ago. So far I can't complain about it. When I went to see this saw at a local retailer the salesman showed me a Powermatic of about the same size saying it was so quiet. I then had him plug in this one which was right across the aisle from the Powermatic. He told me it would be noisy compared to the Powermatic. Turned it on and you can't even tell its running. That sold me on it. I've resawed some wood with a larger blade I bought for it and it cut like a hot knife through butter. If you want a band saw with large resaw capabilities this is it.

My experience with the Jet JWBS-14DXPRO
This is my first bandsaw. So far, it is what it claims to be, heavy, true, and quiet. I have not had the need to cut anything big. I suspect it has plenty of power. Here are my initial assessments.
It definitely requires two people to lift the saw body onto the cabinet. So find a friend. When I engage the mobile base, the stability of the saw worries me. It has the tendency to lean to the left where the bulk of the weight is. I can see it can tip over to the left if the floor is not even or if I move the saw too fast without supporting it. Perhaps a bracket is needed over on the left side. But once it is down on the ground, it is a stable saw because of its weight. It runs smoothly and no vibration. There are a couple of minor isssues. The lower blade guide is difficult to adjust once the table is installed. I decided to take the table off and do a good job adjusting the blade guides and the thrust bearings. They are very easy to adjust. I use a piece of paper (~1/64") to set the gap. The blade tensioning marker beneath the spring is hard to see so I painted it white. The blade came loosely installed in the saw when it arrived. The tension and the blade tracking were both loose so I had to make fairly significant adjustments to set them. The tension knob is too small and too close to the top of the saw for the amount of force required to turn it. I have to figure out a way to improve it to save my knuckles. It would have been nice to have a gooseneck lamp to shine on the cut. These old eyes are not what they used to be. The blade guide assemply is a thin sheet metal sheild that can be moved up and down to cover up the blade. It is kind of flimsy and it initially got in the way such that I couldn't raise it higher. There is a nut or a clip on the side that I had to slightly bend the sheild a little to make it clear the upper housing. No big deal, once it is clear, it moves nicely and truely up and down the post. When I first powered op the saw, the motor wouldn't turn over as if no juice was flowing. I check the circuit breaker and I had power on the line. The same circuit powers up my tablesaw just fine. I decided to call the Jet Technical Support, 800-274-6846, the follwoing day. I felt a lot better when Gary on the line said he had seen this before and the fix was to hit the on-and-off switch repeatedly 10 or 15 times while the saw is plugged in. He said something will get knocked loose and everything will work just fine from that point on. Lo and behold it worked exactly as Gary said. Strange problem and stranger fix. Overall I am very satisfied with the bandsaw.

A quality bandsaw with nice features. I would suggest that Jet include a fence with this bandsaw, however they do not. I bought a Kreg fence and it fits perfectly and would highly recommend the Kreg fence instead of the Jet fence. When time to assemble this bandsaw you will need to get someone to help you due to the weight of this machine. I highly recommend this machine to the woodworker that only wants to buy this machine one time! It will last a lifetime!!!

Great saw right out of the box
This is a ready good saw for someone that uses a variety of different types and sizes of wood. Since I got my saw I have been cutting everything from 3/4" to 9" thick, mainly black walnut. The saw has plenty of power for any project I have. I would recommend adding some weight to the base stand since it is somewhat top heavy. Also, I would have liked to have the rip fence and miter gauge included.
