Pros
Easy To Use (3)
I have a very nice Ellis drill press. I rigged up several different ways to hold material so I could drill holes etc. for approximately 5 years. I recently purchased this Wilton vise and it is amazing!!! I bought a quick change tool post for my Sheldon lathe and used the Wilton vise to mill a T-nut to hold it in place. I love it and wish I had purchased it years ago.

Pros

As good if not better than advertised.
I use my vise to do precise placement of material being worked on. Super easy to hold project in vertical or horizontal positions due to notched jaws. Shopped long and hard but found nothing close to the quality and performance of this product.

This item States that it has a 6" jaw depth.
Is this an accurate statement ?
I think this jaw depth is only 2"
Please clarify.
2nd question 1 full revolution of the slide crank/handle equates to how much movement increment in (us inches) or increments of the work piece ?
Crucial that this slides true and square without deviation .
How much play can be expected when reversing direction of travel ?
BP on Jul 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 1) Jaw depth is 2 inches. They are 6 inches wide.
2) one revolution is approximately 1/4 inch. This vise fits our needs but if you are looking for precision you should look for one of their better models
